General
Notion authorization
Q: Notion page shows an error during authorization?
A: Make sure you open the authorization link in an external browser (Safari / Chrome). WeChat's built-in browser cannot complete Notion authorization.
Q: "Notion not connected" error?
A: You need to complete Notion authorization first — see the Connect to Notion guide.
Q: Can I connect multiple Notion workspaces?
A: Currently one ETN account can only be bound to one Notion workspace. To switch, disconnect in settings and re-authorize.
Clipping
Q: Images aren't showing after clipping?
A: You need to configure image storage. Without it, platforms like Xiaohongshu and Weibo use hotlink protection that causes images to appear blank in Notion. Supported options: Alibaba Cloud OSS, Tencent Cloud COS, Cloudflare R2, or Notion native storage (no setup required but storage is limited).
Q: Clip failed with a parse error?
A: Confirm the link is from a supported platform and is a complete share link. Some platforms' short links or internal links may not be parseable. If the link looks correct but still fails, the platform may have updated its page structure — please contact support.
Q: Tags not appearing in Notion?
A: In database configuration, make sure the "Tags" field is mapped to a multi-select property in your Notion database. If using a custom database, check your field mapping.
Account
Q: Are the Mini Program and Chrome Extension accounts the same?
A: By default they're separate accounts. You can merge them by binding an email in the mini program. You can also log into the Chrome extension using your Mini Program UUID to use the same account.
Q: Forgot my UUID?
A: Open the WeChat Mini Program → Personal center. Your UUID is displayed in the profile card — tap "Copy".
Chrome Extension
Q: Extension icon is greyed out and won't respond?
A: Some pages (browser built-in pages like chrome://, PDF pages) don't support extension injection — this is normal.
Q: Card mode isn't responding to clicks?
A: Confirm you're on a supported platform (Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, Twitter, Weibo). If you just opened the page, wait a few seconds for it to load and try again.
Q: Bulk clipping is very slow?
A: Bulk clipping uses random delays (5–12 seconds) between posts to avoid platform rate limiting — this is intentional.
Q: Auto-clip on like isn't working?
A: Confirm you've enabled "Auto-clip on like" in Settings → Storage & More. This feature only works on supported platforms — refresh the page after enabling.
WeChat Mini Program
Q: "Parse failed" after pasting a link?
A: Confirm the link is from a supported platform and is a complete share link (not a short link before redirect).
Q: Browser shows an error when opening the authorization link?
A: You must use an external browser (Safari / Chrome). Do not open the link in WeChat's built-in browser. Paste it into the address bar and navigate directly.
Q: Status stuck on "Syncing"?
A: Go to clip history and pull to refresh. If a record stays on "Syncing" for a long time, try deleting it and clipping again.
WeChat Reading
Q: WeChat Reading sync failed?
A: WeChat Reading sessions expire quickly. Re-scan the QR code to reconnect, then try syncing again. See the WeChat Reading guide.
Q: Can't scan the QR code?
A: Long-press the QR code to save it to your album, then open WeChat Scan and select it from the album. The QR code is valid for about 1 minute — get a new one if it expires.
Clip Assistant
Q: Telegram Bot isn't responding to links?
A: Confirm binding was completed (you sent a /bind command and received a "Binding successful" reply). If binding is correct, check that the link is from a supported platform.
Q: WeCom / Weibo Assistant activated but not working?
A: Confirm the activation message was sent successfully and you received a confirmation reply. If the issue persists, disconnect in the mini program and re-activate.
Custom Database
Q: My database doesn't appear in the dropdown?
A: You may not have selected that page during authorization. Click "Re-authorize" and make sure to include the page containing your target database.
Q: Auto-matching is inaccurate?
A: Click "Re-detect" to run auto-matching again. You can also manually adjust each field's mapping using the dropdown.
Q: Will my custom configuration be lost if I switch to the standard template?
A: No. Your custom configuration is preserved when you switch to the standard template. It will still be there when you switch back.
