Notes & Chat Records
In addition to clipping web links, ETN also supports saving plain text content (Notes) and WeChat chat records to Notion, helping you capture ideas and organize conversations.

1. Notes Feature
The Notes feature lets you save plain text content directly to Notion without needing a link.
What are Notes

How to Use
Method 1: Mini Program Quick Clip
- Open mini program, go to "Quick Clip" page
- Enter the text content you want to save
- Click "Save & Sync"
The system automatically recognizes this as plain text and saves it as a note to Notion.
If the input doesn't contain a link (no http:// or https://), ETN automatically identifies it as a note.
Method 2: WeChat Work Assistant
- Open WeChat Work, find the ETN assistant chat
- Send the text content you want to save
- Assistant automatically saves it as a note
Method 3: Telegram Bot
- Open Telegram, go to
@etn_clip_botchat - Send plain text content
- Bot automatically saves it as a note
Effect in Notion
After saving, notes appear in Notion as:

If your text contains line breaks, ETN intelligently splits it into paragraphs, each displayed as a separate paragraph block in Notion.
2. Chat Records Clipping
Chat records clipping lets you organize and save WeChat conversations to Notion, perfect for important discussions and work communications.
Prerequisites
- Must have paid membership (Annual Pro or Lifetime)
- Notion authorization completed
How to Use
Step 1: Copy Chat Records
In WeChat, select the messages you want to save:
- Long press a message
- Tap "Select Multiple"
- Check all messages to save
- Tap "..." at bottom → "Copy"
Step 2: Paste to Mini Program
- Open ETN mini program, go to "Quick Clip"
- Mini program auto-reads clipboard content
- If not auto-filled, manually paste the chat records
Step 3: Save & Sync
- Tap "Parse Details" to preview content
- Optional: Add tags and notes
- Tap "Save & Sync"

After saving, chat records appear in Notion as:

ETN tries to preserve the original chat format, including sender nicknames and message times.

4. FAQ
Q: Is there a character limit for notes?
A: Single note recommended under 5000 characters. Very long content may be auto-truncated or split.
Q: Do notes support images?
A: Notes currently only support plain text. For images, use the Chrome extension's screenshot clipping feature.
Q: Are images in chat records saved?
A: When copying chat records in WeChat, only text is copied, not images. To save images from chats, save them separately and use screenshot clipping.
Q: Why do chat records show as "Note" type?
A: If chat record format can't be recognized, the system treats it as a regular note. This doesn't affect content saving, just the type label.
Q: Can I add tags to notes?
A: Yes. In "Parse Details" page you can add tags to notes for easier categorization.
Q: Where can I view notes sent via WeChat Work Assistant?
A: All notes saved via WeChat Work Assistant appear in the mini program's "Clip Records", showing type as "WeChat Work Note".
